Hi,

I’m Glen Lubbert. I use my background in health, mindfulness, and technology to help people improve their performance and enhance their wellbeing. My ongoing research into the intersection of tech and wellbeing leads me to constantly experiment with new ways to help people increase their stamina and improve creativity & innovation.

I was introduced to the connection between behavior and health during my career as an NCAA Division I collegiate athlete. The diet and workout habits that I learned for training, maximized both my mental and physical performance.

Years later, I was flying back-and-forth between my home in San Francisco and the Florida-based health and medical industry-based tech and online marketing company I had founded. The multi-million dollar organization served customers across the country, including Alcon Surgical, Drugstore.com, HealthGrades, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cleveland Clinic, and thousands of medical practices, centers, and hospitals. Like many Silicon Valley CEOs, I was edging toward burnout from an unsustainable work/life imbalance.

A friend gave me the book, Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life, written by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD—a professor at the University of Massachusetts’ Medical School. My newfound interest for mindfulness led me to study with Dr. Kabat-Zinn. Further explorations led me to study at the Mindful Schools. I am an alum of their Mindful Teacher Certification Program.

My ongoing studies into mindfulness exposed me to the work that Dr. BJ Fogg—a behavior scientist at Stanford University—was doing in behavior design. Intrigued by his approach, I soon became certified in Dr. Fogg’s Tiny Habits® behavior change methodology. Through my research into behavior, I’ve come to believe that habit design is more than transformative—it’s an essential skill needed to navigate and thrive in our modern, hyper-accelerated lives.

A serial tech entrepreneur, I gravitated toward using technology and personal data to gain self-knowledge. As a result, I got deeply involved with the Quantified Self movement, which encourages people to use data generated from apps and wearables along with other factors, to gain insights into improving their health and wellbeing.

In pursuit of optimal performance through technology, behavior design and mindfulness, I’m currently doing research on sleep and its impact on flow states as a member of the Flow Research Collective. To that end, I’m an expert in Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) systems to reduce cognitive load, a key trigger for in-the-zone flow states. This has lead me to help entrepreneurs, creators and leaders build their own PKM systems to unleash creativity and innovation including as a Senior Mentor for the pioneering online program, Building A Second Brain. I’m also a certified Sleep & Recovery coach as well as a Thrive Global certified coach.

My desire to help people live happier, longer, and healthier lives extends into my philanthropic work. I support efforts to prevent and end HIV as well as helping educate on the benefits of mindfulness. I’ve supported the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and served on the Board of Directors for Project Inform, a non-profit focusing on education and advocacy for HIV issues. I also support the work of Mindful Schools and its mission to train the world’s educators in mindfulness and use it with their students.

A lifelong innovator, builder, health advocate, and playful rebel, I'm currently the founder of Stamina Lab, which offers programs and coaching for people who seek to upgrade their personal and professional performance, increase productivity and overall energy, and gain insight into tactics they can use to manage stress and maintain their wellbeing.
